The Willow Cries

The willow
stands silently
at the waters
edge

Waiting for a
breeze
to gently
caress her hair
carrying it
to the wind

Her eyes grow
misty
as clouds hover
the horizon
begin to gather
rain

As the moisture
starts to fall
she bows her
head.
