This is just a sweet wait
And I shall soon go in
As soon as this door is opened
To meet my beloved ones.
Tick.. tick. tick
My heart beats loud
And will they too hear it?
My beloved ones, they are!
What wrong did I do?
Which wagging did fail?
And did I bite anyone by slip?
I remember not...
Tick... tick.... tick..
Their clock ticks inside
May be that is too fast
For them to open the door!
Every door has to open once
As they have to come out
And I have to go in!
My heart is beating...
Dad is still asleep perhaps,
Mom is there in the kitchen,
Tom is lying dreaming still and
It'll be little Susan to open now!
In the skies above
I hear subdued sobs now
My soul plays seek and seek
With none to play hide and hide!
