The Valley Of Unrest

The valley of unrest
Where souls lie in eternal rest
The skies forever dark and gray
A place where sorrow never goes away
The mountains here loom high
Like a watchful guardian in the sky
But even they cannot contain
The anguish and despair that remain
Whispers haunt the barren land
As the wind blows like a bony hand
Echoes of sorrow and pain
In this valley they forever reign
The trees here seem to weep
For the souls that they keep
Their branches twisted and gnarled
As if by grief they are marred
The river flows slow and cold
Its waters black and foreboding to behold
It carries the weight of broken hearts
And the tears of those who have depart
No birds sing in this place
For their melodies have been erased
Only the mournful cries of the lost
Echo through the valley, a haunting cost
For this is the land of the forgotten
Where death's grip is never softened
And those who enter never leave
In this valley of unrest, they forever grieve
So let us mourn for those who lay
In this valley, where the dead stay
For their souls are trapped in eternal unrest
In the valley, where sorrow will never rest.
