The Sunday Gang: (1970s U.K Children's Christian T.V Show)

Rating: 5.0

We're knocking and doors, opening windows
Up and down, and around, this pagan land.
Hey kids, we're the Christian Gestapo.
Listen hard and you'll truly understand!
O we visit children's homes at Christmas
To spread a little cheer. No reason to fear.
Our guests include Dana..erm... Cliff Richard
And Jimmy Savile. What could possibly
Go wrong? ! So come and sing along with us. We are
The Sunday Gang: Boff, Dodo, J.D and Tina
And how can one forget that wee twerp of a mouse
: Mackintosh. Come and join us in our jolly house!

Can't say I remember watching this one Dominic was BBC or ITV? I'll have to youtube it. And any children's show with Jimmy Savile on must have been really thought through. The pic reminds me of The Double Deckers which fortunately and mercifully for the cast, was Jimmy Savile free. Five stars for I do remember the title but never watched it as a young kid, for I was probably down the pub drinking illicit liquor and chasing painted ladies.

O it was truly dreadful Shaun..apart from the cynical Mackintosh Mouse..the rest was a load of old tosh! I think I was about 5 or 6 when I watched it. You sound as though you're a little older than me, so you probably missed it..you certainly didn't miss much!
