The Suit Poem by Abigail Pastor

The Suit

I shall dress you up
Restrain your shoulders
Buckle your stomach
Secure your collar
Tie knots 'round your neck
Leave ends loose to jerk
Until the knots have tightened
Then I shall let you stand
Upon the scaffold
