The Street Lights Are On Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

The Street Lights Are On

The street lights are on,
It is time to go home.
My father is calling.
I fear being alone.
I see my nanna, my mom,
And some friends from my past,
My moment I spent here,
It went by so fast
In the blink of an eye,
I'm drawn to a light,
My fear slips away.
I no longer fight.
I feel connected to everything.
I see it's all one,
My life comes to an end,
Yet a new one's begun.
All my questions, now answered
I have been set free
This cocoon I called life,
Became eternity.
No more minutes and seconds,
No more hours and years.
Now just moment by moment.
No more pain, no more fears.
The old journey, now finished,
I was never alone.
The street lights are on.
It's time to go home.
