The Spiritual Heart Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Spiritual Heart

Rating: 3.0

To touch the spirit
One does not need hands
Only the spiritual heart
To taste the waters of the spirit
One does not need a tongue
Only the spiritual heart
To see the fabric of the spirit
One does not need eyes
Only the spiritual heart
To hear the voice of the spirit
One does not need ears
Only the spiritual heart
To smell the scent of the spirit
One does not need a nose
Only the spiritual heart
It's the spiritual heart that needs to be opened (both believers and non-believers)
It's the spiritual heart that needs to be freed from all entanglements (selfishness, materialism…etc)
It's the spiritual heart that needs to be submerged inside the ocean of Love
Now the spiritual heart is the true organ of spirituality (mind, body & soul)
Totally insulated from uncertainty
The spiritual heart knows the language of the spirit
Totally housed inside the realm of certainty
The spiritual heart can measure even the slightest ripples on the fabric of life (consciousness)
It's the stillness inside the spiritual heart that brings clarity (awareness)
It's the calmness inside the spiritual heart that brings peace
It's the silence inside the spiritual heart that gives you the taste of eternity
It's the Love inside the spiritual heart that gives you the breath of life
The spiritual heart is a dimensionless or placeless place (nothingness)
The abode of God
