To me, the story mainly warns women of how dangerous it is to let what a man complements her on to believe he is in love with her, when he may be just using her. It could be vice versa too.
Excellent! The rhymes drew me in, they were so easy on the ear. The rhythm was perfectly executed to lull any suspicions. The characters stayed true to their natures and we readers benefited greatly by her write.
Flattery will get you everywhere. Flies and flighty people beware.
A fabulous poem narrated beautifully. A lesson to be learnt! Not a poem for children alone, but elders as well. Whoever is carried away by praises, will surely meet the same fate as the fly.
A beautiful story poem having capacity to impress the impressionable minds of children that they should be careful while dealing with those who may praise them with an intent to deceive them. The poem has been penned in a superb manner. Thanks for sharing.

well written poem about a classic rivalry of the spider and the fly.i enjoyed the read
I read to my children every night before bed. When my daughter was four, and my son was one, I was reading to them from a book of poetry and read this poem to them. When I came to the lines that begin Oh no, no I emphasized the phrase, and my one-year old son giggled uncontrollably. We were at their grandparents lake cottage, so the whole family got to enjoy his reaction, which had to be repeated by reading the poem over and over, so Grandpa could tape it. Which proves to me the truth of the saying: You are never too young or too old to be read to.
