The Outskirts Of A Time Ravage Poem by Maynard Hartman

The Outskirts Of A Time Ravage

Tumbling southward
Chasing the sun
Too Many lovers
Fighting the urge to run
I shifted the mind-stick
Pushed hard on the petal
Some music poured out…
a youthful heavy metal
I looked down at the map
Traced a series of lines
Holding my course
and trying to find
A place in the sun
Beyond the boundary of time
