The Note Poem by Victoria Hunter

The Note

Didn't I love youfrom one end to another
exactly howyou were created
so wild and wantingall the attentionall the time

And weren't we together constantly
moving in syncall the time
and can you rememberhow I tried to control you
hushed the cryof your rusty chain links
and bent you forward down in half
to see how faryou can leave mewithout breaking

Oh loveI want to wake upinside you again
and put my dreamsin you again
I want to fly again with youinto tomorrow
I want to find youin the early morning cold
and tangled around yourself
I want to climb inside your soul
and wipe away the puddleof cold rain in your heart
