Barely perceptible to the naked, non-localized eye
Specks of dust they,
Some bigger, some smaller,
Specks of dust nonetheless,
Sprinkled upon an aquamarine spread.
Ah! To think that these could be concretized
A masterpiece flagged
And not a mere abstracted spread.
If only they were to be It
Magnified as flag,
And not as flagella
Tottering and wavering upon an aquamarine spread,
Tossed about by the cold, alien westerlies.
Each nebula particle jostles to glint,
If only they would coalesce and be nova
Then each particle would be magnified in It.
Specks of dust upon an aquamarine spread
Will remain specks of dust upon an aquamarine spread,
Till they be magnified as speckled flag
And fly as It.
