The Great Success by Majed Dodeen
Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'A caller will call out: 'You shall have life and never die; you shall be healthy and never be ill; you shall be young and never grow old; you shall live in favor and never suffer difficult circumstances.' That is the saying of Allah Most High: (43: 72) Such is the Paradise that you shall inherit by virtue of your good deeds in the life of the world.

I sat in solitude, mind in deep reflection,
Contemplating the universe, life's direction.
I asked myself, as questions arose,
What would a fetus say, if he chose
To speak to me, from his tiny sphere,
Of life within, and how it feels so near?
I called to him, seeking his tale,
What is your world like, so soft and frail?
He answered me, with a voice so clear,
'My world is small, but I am happy here.
An umbilical cord feeds my soul,
And amniotic fluid guards me whole.
No lies, no cheats, no hypocrisy,
This world is pure, it's all I see.'
I asked him then, if he could say more,
He paused and answered, "I can't explore
The other side yet, it's all unknown—
But I'll meet you there, when I've grown.'
The journey ended, I awaited the flight,
And the child was born, a new life in sight.
Still crying, the baby came,
While others laughed, in joy aflame.
I leaned close and asked, with a sigh,
'What do you think of this world so high? '
He wept, and spoke with sorrowed eyes,
'Your world is vast, but dark are the skies.
A tear, a sigh, it's weary and cold,
A life of pain, a story untold.
Lies, deceit, and hypocrites roam,
I wish I'd stayed in my mother's home.'
I said to him, 'There's a path, you'll see,
Follow it, and your life will be free.
Your tears can turn to candles bright,
Your sighs can change to smiles of light.
Even your death can bring new life,
If you follow this way, you'll end all strife.'
He asked, with hope, 'What is this way?
Tell me now, I don't want to stray.'
I spoke, with truth, to his searching heart,
'The way is belief, it's where we start.
Believe in Allah, with love so deep,
His names and attributes, keep.
He is Allah, the Peace, the Merciful, the Loving,
The All-Knowing, the Gracious, so forgiving.
With faith in Him, you'll find your way,
To Paradise, where joy will stay.
No death, no age, no pain to bear,
Happiness eternal, a life so fair.
Health, youth, and joy all combine,
This is the victory, the life divine.'
And thus, the true success we gain,
Is found in belief, beyond earthly pain.
For in that belief, we are set free,
In Allah's love, we find eternity.
