Why do we write
Ask you might
Why not use our leisure
In the lively pursuit of pleasure?
Why did the caveman paint
Upon the cave walls bent
Scenes of hunting
And rhythms of dancing?
Each moment we are living
Death lies in waiting
Him, we dream of defeating
Creating a child or a painting
We, part of the Creator
We, part of His Creation
In us He has carefully hidden
A little of His power of Creation
A wonderful poem that depicts the inner urge of a poet that propels him/her to pen! You have abstracted a great theme brilliantly through your original poetic expression! Excellent ending! Full marks!

Yes, the Creator has given us the desire and ability to create our own beauty. Creativity is a well-spring of life. A well crafted poem full of wisdom and answers. Thank you Ruta.

'We, part of the Creator We, part of His Creation In us He has carefully hidden A little of His power of Creation '..is a beautiful stanza indeed. Everyone has a talent hidden in him. it needs zeal and hard work to expose it. Very nice.10+++++
A fine poem. Not everyone can write poetry. Why one does is a mystery. As each mind is unique each mind must answer individually. For me it comes as a culmination of many factors. To express what is felt dominates.++10
