When Faith turns fanatic,
When mind, like a sponge soaked in dogma,
When the lure of money overrides,
When reason is hoodwinked

What a wonderful poem! You have exposed terrorism for the lunacy which it is! Stay safe, Valsa!

In the first stanza you have vividly and incisively inscribed about the born of a terrorist who is the cause of masacre of innocent peoples. For the hankering of frivolous power and wealth terrorists come forward with ammunitions and applied over peoples horrendously. This type of activity must be seized. A brilliant poem is being shared on religion, terrorism. A 10

Powerful poem. Really made me feel how terrorists get born. It might just be out of desperation and failure in life.

(cont.) ...i like the alliterative title! ! YOU shall receive your escape from this inferno soon enough and be playing your harp and flapping your angel wings. i shall (perhaps) descend into a 'second inferno'.......where all the ice cream will be melted. but i can still enjoy it i hope. sorry to put a damper on any plans for a solution to violence, but if it isn't religious fanatics, it will be something else ruining lives for others. bri :) to MyPoemList.

I know the word 'frivolous' is quite weak there. For the time being, I cannot think of a better word. If you can suggest one, I will be so grateful. Your openness is much appreciated

Our suggestions are winked at the commands of the institutionalized religions for establishing monopoly in Faith-the only RIGHT PATH as such groups thinks right from their ignorance about others.Actually the Faith of all is the same but rites vary.

Terrorism must be condemned by all. It's not associated with a particular religion. It's a religion in itself.

From your lips to God's ears, Valsa. Humanity must must must stop hating... it's a hate turned against its own body in the end. We need more gentle souls and loving hearts ready to defend lives and life itself in all the ways we can defend against hatred.

Your message is clearly written but many are blinded by the issues that you had brought up so vividly. The path being taken is certainly not encouraging but there is always hope that those wielding power will come to their senses. Thank you Valsa

Terrorism can never be part of any religion ESP not the religion I follow even if media likes to blame it so. Your poem is great and powerful in condemning terrorism but terrorism has nothing to do with religion. It is more personal hatred, agendas, wrongful revenge tactics, power and political agendas but not religion. Let the doves of peace fly. Kudos. Pleez do write your thoughts under my newest poem too, titled, dark skinned vs fair skin, I would love to hear your views

The promise of heaven is just a fake thing altogether for no religious book promises heaven to killers of innocents. From the Christian ka klux clan ideology to what not religion is used as a wrongful misapplied facade for the unjust mad evil ones.

To alone read this poem one is filled with terror, I can only imagine how horrific it must be to live through such an experience! Your use of imagery here is tops as always, but I really love the form used in this poem - the way you insert a single line between each stanza to heighten the tension! Amazingly executed,10! ~
