Sweetest Day

As you in your bed lay
And I sit here thinking about the years
While the sounds outside I hear
Happy Sweetest Day

Though some may found it gay
On how we eventually met
A day we won’t regret
Today, Happy Sweetest Day

I don’t always know what to say
But it comes from heart
Hoping that we are never long apart
Happy Sweetest Day

And how you have your own way
My heart pitter-patters when you walk in the room
Turning me bright from gloom
This is Sweetest Day

I know this is not often enough that I should say
Of how our love has grown
And who would have known
I just wanted to tell you Happy Sweetest Day
