Stranger

The first glimpse in your eye
was like a knife to the heart.
The pain was worth it,
at least it was at the start.
Your words were like a spell,
Both a blessing and a curse.
I thought I felt love
but feeling this feels worse.
Your touch on my skin
I can feel evil inside.
Your eyes show your demons,
They are getting harder to hide.
You were supposed
to keep me away from danger.
It's hard to look at someone you love
And looking back is just a stranger.
