Strange Fact Polly Is Slang For A Politician Poem by Terence George Craddock

Strange Fact Polly Is Slang For A Politician

Rating: 5.0

strange fact down under Polly
is sometimes slang for a politician
in Australia and New Zealand
also a popular name for a parrot
does it refer to many sides politicians?

or mindless saying Polly want a cracker?
or clever birds can mimic human speech?
or a person talking not really knowing
what they are talking about saying?
or promises made not kept intended?
contrast this with a parrot called Polly
vocal voicing a genuine hunger desire
Polly the parrot wants to eat a cracker!
