Father divorced the biological
mother of a boy,
legally kept the custody
of the child with him.
Second marriage took place
as per his whim with
another as she was
very cute and slim.
One day a neighbour asked
the boy who was good out
of the two mothers.
The boy replied
' Both mothers scolded him
when he did not prepare his
lessons well and cautioned
not to give food.
But my first mother used to
wake me up from my sleep and
fed me with her tearful eyes
whereas the second never cared
to serve me food even if I went
into slumber in
a tearful mood.'
Circumstances took a sad turn,
both claimed the custody
of the boy in a judicature.
The advocates of both pleaded
so powerfully that baffled
the honorable judge to
come to a closure.
Finally a decision was taken
to make two longitudinal halves
of the boy and give one
to each mother.
The biological mother allowed
the boy to be given to stepmom
as she did not wish to endanger.
Finally the justice announced
his verdict,
handed over the custody
to his uterine mother.
A genuine mother will not tolerate any harm to her child. The ultimate measure of a mother's love is to intentionally put her son or daughter in a difficult situation and observe her reaction. Thoughtful poem.5*.
Fantastic story. This is a story my mother used to tell us, when we were all children. Your have expressed it most poetically, dear Nabakishore. Captivating poem. Top score
