Sonnet: True Friendship Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: True Friendship

Rating: 3.8

'Tis rare to find a friend who's true all life!
'Tis tough to keep the bond alive and strong;
The test of friendship comes in times of strife;
True friendship lasts in thick and thin for long.

Our life is good when friends are truly nice;
Good friends console us in our grief and woes;
They help us timely, offering advice;
True friends will risk their life to ward off foes!

A friendless earthly stay is bad indeed;
You nurture friendship like you raise a plant;
The fruits of friendship's tree depend on seed;
To break the bond is easy but you shan't.

Good friends can make our life indeed wholesome;
Like parents, friends are loving and welcome.
‘Happy Friendship Day,2018! ' dear friends, colleagues, students and relatives
