Reunion

I've thought about you for a long time
But I gave up and crossed you off my mind
And now, when you've come to call
I can't help but stall
Years of broken trust
And fruitless lust
Have built up
And sealed this shut
The depths are so vastly unexplored
But I can't seem to open the door
How I long to break through this crust
To wipe away all the dust
If only there were more time and energy
Then maybe we could see
I feel like you don't understand
And there's no way to expand
What exactly does this mean?
Maybe wounds still need to be cleaned
