Reconciliation Poem by Michael J Williams

Reconciliation

We are meant for better things
We should strive for better thoughts
We need a kinder tomorrow…
That we may Inspire the future... at any cost

Money does not make the world go round
Money is not the be-all end
Money is just an abstract idea
A concept… that, to God, it does offend

We are more than assets
We are more than silver and gold
We could do so much good
If the truth be told

Even if rivers flow red with blood
Even if skies run thick with smoke
Even if Hell would flood with fear
The fear our hearts evoke

We will suffer the final truth
We will realize the harshest trial
We will do what needs done
that we and God may reconcile
