Puppy Love ©

He looks at me with gold brown eyes,
my heart begins to melt;
I gaze back with the softest sighs,
My heartbeat now heartfelt.

My fingers lost in sweet caress,
My lap a cradle for his head;
What utter bliss, I must confess,
to feel the words that are unsaid.

We cannot stay like this all day,
What would all the people say?
Since there is no need to even talk.
Come, let's venture for a walk,

Up the hill and down the dale,
He laughs with me and wags his tail...
