Playing by the Rules
I'm not dealing in illusions anymore,
you saw me as a fictitious character,
someone to be played with.
I want to walk in truth and talk the truth,
cease operating in grievous, deceptive and wounding ways.
I'm too intuitive to be fooled and played,
you kept leaving me out in the rain, feeling your neglect.
I can see through thick clouds of denial
of fake strength and disdain.
If we're honest and play by the rules
not mine, nor yours, but the universes'
we may finally be able to get somewhere.
