Perilious Payload Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Perilious Payload

In your mind a war brews
Protagonists in your mind
Battlefield in your mind
Cassius belli in your mind

The sun rises every day smiling
The moon chasing the sun grinning
The wind sings verses in trees
The chorus by the gumtrees

But there is no ceasefire in your head
The battle is a heavy load
On a lonely winding road
With a spiritual payload.

A perilious payload
Lord unload the perilious payload
The perilous payload
Perilious payload
