Pandemonium Poem by Shaun Cronick

Pandemonium

Rating: 5.0

If you've read Paradise Lost,
The epic poem by John Milton.
You will see the word Pandemonium.
This was invented by Milton himself.
As the name of the capital for the Underworld.
Chosen from the Greek words...
All and little spirit/demon.
And roughly translates to something like,
A place for all demons.
Today we use it to describe chaos and disorder.
But,
Milton invented it to describe,
A truly unpleasant sounding place.
