Only You My Stella
None keepeth trace of me, nor sign nor name,
No wind remembers, no fire holds my breath.
I am as one who never walked this earth,
A vanishing mist upon the nameless vast.
Time hath forsaken me, the hours pass blind,
A phantom lost in silence, rootless, void.
Here, there, yet nowhere—shadow without home,
Alive, yet in the hollow dark consumed,
A cry dissolved within the womb of night.
I am, yet am I not? A hush remains,
A wandering ember on the formless sea.
Years have erased me, left no dust nor word,
And none have called, and none have dared to mourn—
Save thee, O Stella, whispering in my soul.
