It seems like only yesterday
That you were by my side
A young and tender boy and girl
A groom and blushing bride

But how the years have flown, my love
How time has passed on by
Now you are gone, and I, alone,
Left by myself to cry

It seems like only yesterday
The world was oh so sweet
With you there standing next to me
All then was so complete

But as life gives, then so it takes
And nothing lasts for long
The glass once full is empty now
And sad the closing song

It seems like only yesterday
Our wedding rings shone bright
But now they're old and worn so thin.
No more reflect the lightl

Now I am left here all alone
For you have passed away
And only memories remain
Of our sweet wedding day
