One Punch Is Too Many

You hit her with your fist
Or you slap her on the wrist,
You punch her on her face
And you call her a disgrace.
You kick her in the leg
As though wanting her to beg,
You flick her on the nose
Or maybe you step on her toes.
You push her to the ground
Or upon her wound you pound,
You punch her in the eye
Because you were angry and told a lie.
You pulled her hair
Because she walked away with a stare,
You hush her when she talks
And you trip her when she walks.
She is berated by your family and friends
Her pain and suffering no one defends,
Pain created by you should not be any
Remember this, one punch or insult is always one too many.
