I see your pain,
why can't I reach out

I am enclosed in a land of darkness,
After so long, I've finally seen the light

Will you forgive the time I took finding my way,
Will you open to a new beginning that can overwrite the bad times

I miss who we could have been,
I want to give you the joy that you once dreamed of

I lay my demons down,
they are slayed

I bow to a higher cause,
that of being a ray of light

I love you, old man,
in all my hate, and regrets,
