You have brought out a brilliant poem on dream and reality along with the power of silence through question and answer. I am glad that your poem has been translated into French by your best friend Michael Walker. Thank you very much for your nice penning.

Kumarmani, Thank for the nice comment! I put the poem on Poemhunter in February 2017. I am sure other poets on Poemhunter have had similar questions and I was looking forward to hearing from someone who had the same answer to their question. As of yet, I have not heard from anyone..

5: 14am,6 August 2017. Sunday morning. My good friend, Michael Walker, has translated this poem into French. It is on his Poemhunter site: Ma Question. (Translation) . This is the first of my poems to be translated into any language. Michael is a very talented poet and I treasure his friendship.

Spiritually eloquent and surreal responses. I too am curious how these comforting words came to you.

Poet comment: When I wrote this I was going to make it a longer poem, but then, when I received the answer, I could not add to it nor take away from it. It had to stay as written. 3: 23pm,28 February 2017. Thailand.

Hank, I think this is very fascinating. R.M.S. is totally off base with his remark. There is nothing in your poem that conveys waking in fright. I got nothing but a peaceful feeling when I read it, nothing frightful at all. I recognized at once that it was your poetry muse speaking to you. Of course, I know you a lot better than R.M.S. does, so maybe he can be forgiven for being out of tune...

Kim, yes you are right, at the time I was sitting down, resting, and being totally relaxed. Wish you and your wife were here to enjoy the Warm Thailand weather.
