My First Dance Poem by Paul Warren

My First Dance

Standing hands in my pockets
Trying to pluck up the courage
To ask a girl to dance
My song comes on
Raising a smile on my face

So I ask her to dance
To my surprise she raises a smile
She stands up and goes with me
To the dance floor and I take her hand
And we dance my first dance.
