Monkeys Without Tails Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

Monkeys Without Tails

Rating: 5.0

The preacher man
had once preached,
I am hearing him on radio once again
That every monkeys do think that men
Are all silly monkeys,
Only that they have no tails.
Until he finds himself
in man's cage;
My mother,
Would always just teach
It is now feels like coming all true
We are seeing him everyday,
but he has never seen us;
Why don't he just give it up?
When everyone,
has known it's a lie
Knowing you are just swindling yourself
Tomorrow is there ahead,
you don't know what it pay you back
You have just been robbing the poor
Never knowing,
it is dusty storms,
You're are just gathering to yourself
You have been walking in fine clothes
but you dont know,
you are naked,
just walking round the street
You have been thinking of lying too much
coz you know we all need a miracle
Telling us the same old stories again.
