Mirror Image Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Every time I look into the mirror,
I can see the image so much clearer.
There's no more shattered existence,
And I'm running into less resistance.

Now whenever I see my reflection,
I'm able to find the lost connection.
There is no more shattered image,
And I'm no longer standing on the edge.

When I view myself looking back at me,
There are so many things that I can see.
The image before me is no longer cracked,
And now I don't feel like I'm being attacked.

What I now see staring back at me,
Is not the person that I used to be.
The reflection now looks so strange,
But only because I have changed.
