Mallory's Poem

Symphonies ought be made to praise thy beauty,
Harmonic psalms ringing for eternity,
They play inside of me thinking of thee,
As your presence is pure felicity.
Stolen glances from my eyes always survey thee,
Thou art the fairest jewel which adorns me.
And each day together provides radiant joy,
Like an enthralled child with his favorite toy,
You steal away my breath with unfeigned grace,
Like you stole away my heart with your smiling face.
Inspiration fills me when I think of you,
So believe this truly for it is true:
Mallory, above all treasures, I covet you,
And I am grateful so much for all you do.
Doubtful so long I was in finding love,
Yet I prayed daily to the Good Lord Above:
'Father in Heaven, a maiden please send,
Whose love for me my heart shall never rend,
Whose eyes sparkle like stars on the ocean,
Whose loyalty is not a trend.
Whom I love with the intensity of the Sun,
Whom I love as if by Cupid's arrow stung.'
Since the day we met, blue skies are more blue,
Red sunsets blush in awe compared to you,
Indeed, thou art more fair than any hue,
Inside my dreams of Heaven -as if I knew,
Hidden Divine treasures -Angelic Art -by heart.
Which I know them not, yet from them I'd depart,
Just to survey your silhouette in the dark,
For Cupid's arrow within me hit its mark,
Leaving me speechless -indeed -in your presence,
Which is full of every single Venusian essence.
Your laugh melts my heart like snow on the ground,
After the coldest winter when Sol is found,
Beaming brightly in Heaven during early spring,
Your laugh is more pleasant than birds which sing.
Sing did my heart when my eyes first saw you,
Simple yet graceful, and with every breath grew
The affection in me--for thou art admired--
More than approaching sleep is to the tired.
Fire is the element of which thou art made,
Your worth is priceless to me--like gold inlaid
With Burmese rubies, crafted by God in Heaven,
Every aspect of you was divinely chosen.
How can it be that such perfection exists,
That it improves as time flees and twists,
Defying physics itself your beauty does,
Measureless it is and each day it grows.
Holding you in my arms is life's sweetest joy,
Compared in elation like when the Greeks seized Troy.
If one day my bones decay into dust,
Just know that forever in me you can trust,
To love you more deeply than stars in space,
When I say 'Mallory, you I cannot replace.'
And though each second marks time with you lost,
As time passes, I'll show I love you the most.
For you a very much loved and appreciated,
My once broken-heart is now emancipated.
I love you more deeply than the deepest sea,
My love is more incalculable than Infinity.
So grateful for you am I in my life,
God Willing, I will one day make you my wife.
