Love To Destroy

Let me love to destroy you
with a love that in me dissipates.
Let me love to destroy you
with insufferable amounts of written poetry all in the name of you.
Let me suffocate you with my absence of love and physical affection but,
let me haunt your mind with quality time and gifts.
let me show you the ways in which I can love you without saying it.
let me destroy you in the fine print,
in the T's & Cs that state my fear of commitment
and in the signature that seals a contract full of loop holes.
Let me smother you with my intellectual capacity
and break you down with my nonexistent vulnerability.
But let me love to destroy you
so that in you my love will manifest, coming alive in all the 'i hate you' texts
that you will then later have to decipher
searching for the meaning of what it truly means to be loved by me.
Allow me to love to destroy you
in the only way I know how
and even if that means standing over your grave, with a bouquet, dressed in all white
At least now you will have known what my love try felt like.
