Love At First Sight Poem by Yamikani Jamali Hassan

Love At First Sight

My eyelids got paralyzed
The focus robotically shifted
My mouth got dehydrated
Still, I could salivate like a hungry lion

The nose toil got distorted
Instead of hauling air unto me
Sweet fragrance was my portion
The odor that was convoying the queen

Her elegance smudges my eyes
Her majesty debilitated my defenses
She painted my heart with love rays
To bring a rainbow in the clouds of darkness
And compel me feel my blood flows

Yeah! She is a stranger to me
But my heart afforded her a name.
She has murdered me in admiration
But I will resurrect in her adoration.

I never believed in love at first sight
But this beauty has preached for my repentance
Heart breaks were leading me to hell
Then she has prepared my home in her heaven

There is authenticity in love at first sight
There is uniqueness and communiqué in it
