Life as in a Jack in the Box-Perfect! I really enjoyed reading this in fact it is what I can describe post dramatic stress syndrome to. I enjoyed reading this because no matter how old we get, and people say let the past stay in the past-it doesn't work that way-it doesn't-for something always jumps out be it good or bad...... Very well written.....thanks for sharing.
As always CJ, you refuse to seize amazing me. As a descriptive it works beautifully: a reflection on the reflected. It takes so much more than being a poet to be able to express this in the way you have, it takes an ingrained sense of humanity. Love Denis Joe XXXX
This has touched me, beautifully written. Sometimes when you let memories out, it can be difficult to get the lid back on. Life Goes On...reading you, makes it that little bit easier. Kindest Regards Slim. x.
ironic i should read this today as i have been reflecting on many memories recently, your words summarise all they do and have done, and the ending of the poem is very true. lovely best wishes Vincent
How true this is! Sometimes I find that certain smells will trigger a memory - and not always good ones. The smell of someone's shampoo once reminded me of a very unpleasant ex I had. However, the furniture polish my friend uses reminds me of grandma's house and the cream puffs and hot cocoa she used to make for us. And they always seem to pop up when you least expect them to - at night when you're just about to drift off to sleep......Mean Gene from 5th grade! What the heck! ? lol Where'd you come from! ? lol Shannon
