Lies (Used To Be Song Lyrics I Wrote)

Rating: 2.5

I now see what you made me believe,
You built a wall of lies for me to conceive.
You made your intentions look pure
I see now, that you leaving is the cure
For this disease you put into my chest,
You were nothing more than a memory at best.

You lied to me so many times when you said 'I love you'
I thought you meant it, what was I supposed to do?
You scarred my heart in every which way,
Seeing you walk out the door is such a bitter day.
Now that you're gone, life has regained its meaning.
But the hard part is, I have to start from the beginning...
