Let's Go Away Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Let's Go Away

Rating: 5.0

Hon, let's go away
Runaway from the day to day
Aren't you getting sick from watching the dead flies
Trapped in the ceiling light
I am bored with writing about my fantasies
I want to go out and do them
But when I decide to do it
I have second thoughts because I realised
You can't come
I love you and I am too lonely to leave you here
So, I stay
Honey, sweetie, let's go away
And don't turn back
because there's nothing for us here
