Late Realization Poem by Dustin Burel

Late Realization

Rating: 5.0

I attempted a romance,
Over a best friend,
I found nothing better,
In the end.

Now I've got nothing,
To keep me sustained,
I'm faliing on my knees,
Silent in pain.

I see you in a crowd,
Not a gaze turned my way,
And my heart starts skippin',
And I don't know what to say.

Yeah, we had a kiss,
Maybe one or two,
But I'm not missing that,
I'm only missing you.

I don't need a romance,
I need a best friend
And I can't find the voice,
To ask you again

To forgive me...
