POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The colourful petunia is a central and South American plant purple or white funnel-shaped flowers. It stands out because of its bright colours.
There is an analogy with Alice's own nature: she was revolutionary at heart, determined to grow and mentally tough.
