Kid's With Special Needs Poem by Randy McClave

Kid's With Special Needs

Kids with special needs are not weird or odd
Remember, they too are children of God,
They only want what every other child wants
To be accepted with smiles, and not with taunts.
Though they might be slow or have a stutter
And in their life their might be some clutter,
But, let's honor all those children in a unique way
Let them know that they are respected everyday.
Just because they are nothing like me or you
And they don't do or act the same way as we do,
They should not be mocked or called strange or weird
They should not be ridiculed or ever feared.
One day those special needs children will become an adult
As how we treated them then, will be the later result,
Will they be mocked also when they are old
Since they came from the same mold.
Whenever anyone mocks those with special needs
Pain and sadness and hurt then truly breeds,
Special need children are not any different than you or me
They dream and hope and love and they wanna be free.
Now it's a holiday season
Treating everyone with kindness now is a happy reason,
So, whenever you see that special needs child over there
Give them your love, and hope, and smile, and a prayer.
