Journey Of 100 Minds [2] Poem by Darrell Harris

Journey Of 100 Minds [2]

The strong shall survive, the weak Shall Perish
Clarity is only achieved when the smoke clears
During the fire you're filled with a deep desire to get away
But like the prophecy says, the only thing you can do is dance in agony
1 + 1 does equal 2 but the 2 can multiply depending on the circumstances
If Agony brings growth and comfort diminishes you, why stay in the comfort zone?
If only it were that simple right… right?
I mean why choose the lesser of two evils when you can choose to be a demon?
Why wear the horns when a halo in disguise is better camouflage?
Work smarter not harder. Stab your enemy in the back

Testify to alleviate your sins
Bury it all before it can be uncovered
In this new life hopefully we'll get it right
But if we don't then that's okay as well
Heaven is a mindset we've been a couple times
Lingering resentment interfering with our commitments
It never changes we only rearrange it
It may seem strange, but in the end what isn't?
Stare from the edge… don't close your eyes before the push
Just embrace it all and bask in the rapidly changing images
It feels like I'm underwater with all this pressure building up
The waves are lapping the shore and I can feel every pulse it makes
Even though I can't feel your hand, I can feel your presence
A calming presence trying to lead me back to shore
But without a light it's hard to see where the exit is
So I chose any direction and pray it's the right one
In another second the scene changes again
This time sand is all around and the camels are getting exhausted
The sand keeps shifting, making every step gruesome
And no water in sight with only a sip left in the wineskin
Despair sinking in like a guillotine about to drop
Some pray while others struggle to stay sane
1 by1 the Cavalry drops and their camels taken for food
The gold that filled our bags are worthless in this circumstance
I think I'm beginning to see mirages because I see you in the distance
Urging me to come to you and I run as fast as I can but the distance doesn't shorten
In fact it seems like you're going further and further away
And as I fall in the sand, my eyes slowly close as the pain fades
The next time I open my eyes, you're right there next to me in bed
The bizarre dreams finally stop and I kiss you on the forehead
