Jesus Take The Wheel Poem by Emma Mulwa

Jesus Take The Wheel

Lord take the wheel..

lying here on what I call my bed, my resting place, my territory so to say.
tired I am
hopeful I am
for you oh Lord have awakened a fire a hunger a spirit within me I never knew I had.

A leader is something I believed I am not but today You have shown me that I may be wrong.
preparing for Holy Mass in your sanctuary, our home our, place of worship I saw You Oh Lord in the hearts of the 60 youth Members who long to know and serve you.

In the presence of your children and surrounded by images of You on the cross for our sins, I looked above for worry as to how I am going to conduct this rehearsal ran through my mind

Your spirit filled this place and a calm breeze swift through me.
Alone I cannot but with You I am able and will succeed.

I love you Lord though I'm tired and every bone and muscle in me has given up I will continue to praise You
glorify You
love You
and out of anything I ask that You work in me and lead me according to Your Will.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
ever wondered how we often move from God yet find ourselves back in His arms again.Today I had a busy day did things I thought I could never do but I did it not through my own strength but through God who Gave me strength.
