It Is Easy To Give What Is Left Over.
It is easy to give from our abundance.
It is easy to give what is left over.
But giving out of our own poverty
demands great faith and charity.
Experiencing the pinch of losing
makes us men of faith and goodness.
In releasing our materiality
wrapped fast around us
We become free to forge
bonds of love and solidarity.
This is sacrifice and this becomes
a tangible expression of God's love
in the world and our trust grows
in making our decisions strong.
Experiencing the pinch of losing makes us men of faith and goodness. So true anybody can give what they don't need, but to give from need is a different story. It is an expression of God's love. Big 10

What is there within us we can give it to others. We are souls. We have love, peace and charity power. We can give these values to others easily without any cost. it is indeed easier to give from our abundance, tony. this reminds me of what a doctor friend, now retired, related of her experience in haiti, how people so poor insisted on giving their best to her in their hospitality. i'm also reminded that the bible encourages first fruits giving, our best, not our leftovers. having practiced this, i can say it's a joy, a joy to help others and not live just for oneself. and it's all God's anyway, yes? -glen
