The power of love can overcome any hardship if the spirit is strong! ! Great write! !

A good write though I'd agree with Mark, the point or story seems kinda hidden behind the metaphors. With that said the language is great.

Your main point may be a little too abstract for the unenilghtened reader. Try to speak a little plainer. Metaphores and allusions are good, but not if they lose the reader.
