In Your Eyes

In Your Eyes

After a long absence to life,
After a profound hiatus
life has become a stranger,
The forest and the inhabitants
are foreigners to me,
Every passing tune and the cry of life
is unknown to me and I am within me
a burning stream,
A newborn baby amid a strange world.

All the old trees are gone,
Cut or broken to be dust,
The growing season with the fervent Joy
of friendship and the delighted souls
who spread the hue of love and pain
and the fear, sweet and sour,
are now things of the past,
Life has made everything old,
Wayward and relics of the world
gone forever and into the nether regions,
Life is now a deep state
of anguish to be life again.

In your eyes The world seems to revive
the past Joy of dreamful easy,
The soothing music of the morning and
tired noon of restful inaction,
The night seems to bathe
in grey leaf of eternal stream,
In your eyes the song of life
with forgotten tune seems to ring
in sterling cadence without vowel,
In your eyes the Joy of living
is paving new symphony,
In your eyes mystery seems to dance
with new craze of altruistic splurge.
