If You Love Me Let Me Go

'If you love me let me go'
Do not tell me, I don't want to know
Whilst the swings in my mind sway too and fro
I am loving you dearly, but don't want to let go

'By letting go it all gets done'
Goodbye smiles, goodbye fun
Your face; your hands; your shine like the sun
Gone in an instant as it all gets done

“The key to change … is to let go of fear.”
I feel unsure without you here
If only I could have somehow told you, dear
But now it's too late, and it is change I fear

If I loved you, I might let you go
Let you move on, like the wind does blow
To me, as a friend, you could only grow
But now, I fear, I must let you go
