I Am Sorry Poem by M McParland

I am so truly sorry for
all of the things that I have done wrong.
I am deeply sorry and appalled
at all of the pain and stress I have caused.
I am sorry for each and every tear
that has been shed because of me dear.
I am sorry that I have not done better
for you and for all that I love so dear.
I am sorry that I have not explained myself better,
and that it takes me so long to improve
my life so it is worth something more.
I am sorry my angel that you think
I just stopped writing because I am cruel,
I assure you I am not and I pray that
one day I can explain all to you.

I am sorry fair lady for all of my wrongs,
I'd give anything to take away your sorrow
and show you that I am not a bad man.
I am sorry my sweetie and there's
so much more I want to tell you.
For now though just know that I'm sorry.
