Great Teachers Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

Great Teachers

Rating: 5.0

I cannot forget them
who fed me when I was hungry.
I adore those hands
which wiped off my tears
when I was in agony.
I will always remember
them who helped me up
when I stumbled and fell.
I wish tolive for them
who loved me for no return.
I maintain no ill will
for them who pretend.
For they are my teachers
who taught me
"All that glitters is not gold"

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
They who do not care for us are definitely our teachers
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Experience is our best teacher. Lucky are the ones who get exemplary teachers to guide them. In a way, all those who show us a path in life are teachers. Only a teacher would know best how to learn from life too. A beautiful poem on teachers........10

Thank you very much Geeta Menon. We have something to learn even from our enemies. There is no harm to treat them also in the category of teachers

Everyone who teaches us something is a teacher! We all learn from others and their experiences, direct or indirect turn out to be our learning tools! As a teacher in the normal sense, I feel proud reading these lines!
